The Ultimate Question Quest For Living Your Royally good life

Dear Royal Friends,

I hereby bequeath you with my knowledge of “The Ultimate Question Quest”:

The Holy Grail has indeed been located!

Herein lies the tale. I have a good friend who is dying.  He’s the husband of one of my best friends who just died. I visited him last night.  Our communication was limited.  I could tell he knew who I was, because  I tested him with a little “in” joke. I was relieved that he passed.  It was bad enough that he didn’t seem to have his teeth.

I found myself asking,  what in life is essential?  I watched him yesterday….almost out of this world he is.  This friend of mine.   I wondered if he  was thinking, who do I want to be in the room with me, this hour,
so close to my death?  (He probably said, “whom.”)

I realized (for the zillionth time but it finally sank in) that Perspective is King.   Let’s make a pact.  Here and now.  To put our “problems” into the category of “challenges.”  Most of them ain’t life or death.  And that’s big stuff.

Exhibit A. Lately I’ve faced (what look like roadblocks)  in my artistic endeavors.  Gabby Bernstein’s book, “Spirit Junkie,” confirms my suspicions that  these are leading me to something better.   Nonetheless, it feels like crap until that happens.  I believe I have talent,  and I certainly have drive.  I want to succeed. I shall absolutely keep trying. But, after last night,  I’ve learned to see that quest for what it is. Life’s party parlor game. It’s wonderful.  It’s fun.  It’s essential in my life’s journey and soul satisfaction. But it’s not the “Ultimate Question Quest”.

The “Ultimate Question Quest” for our royally good mental health life is: Who would I want to be giving me a big hug and a “You go girl” when I am dying? Who would I want there, to see me without my teeth?  Touching, ain’t it.

So-

1.If you don’t have anyone who is the answer to that question, that is your Ultimate Question Quest.  Find that person or those people; and

  2. Floss your teeth regularly.
