MUDDLE FROM A PUDDLE KILLS “ART” IN BERLIN
A modern “art” installation valued at 800,000 euro ($1.1 million American dollars) was damaged when a cleaning woman scrubbed away a finish that was supposed to look like dried rain after a puddle. The sculpture was by Martin Kippenberger, titled, “When it Starts Dripping from the Ceiling.” Here’s the “art”:
What do you think? Here’s my take on it. KUDOS to the cleaning lady! Did she say, “Not my yob?” NO! She cleaned what she thought was a pile of crap. It wasn’t her fault if the crap was worth 1.1 million dollars. If you hire a decent cleaning lady, she’s gonna clean up after your dog’s piddle, even if you don’t specifically ask her to. Sounds to me like a case for the emperor….if we would just put some clothes on him!
